MUMBAI ( GNS ) : INOX Wind Limited, a subsidiary of Gujarat Fluorochemicals Limited (GFL), has bagged contracts for wind power projects having a total capacity of 166 MW from Green Infra Limited (GIL), an IDFC group company. These projects are scheduled for execution in the states of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. As per the contract, which is amongst the largest in the country, INOX Wind will supply 83 units of its advanced 2MW DFIG wind turbine generators (WTGs).The WTG has one of the highest swept areas that makes it ideally suited to maximize returns across the low wind sites prevalent in these three states.
INOX Wind will be responsible for development and construction of these projects on a turnkey basis and has also been contracted for a multi-year period to undertake operations and maintenance of the wind power projects. These projects of a cumulative capacity of 148 MW will be part of the “INOX Wind Parks” of 200 to 500 MW capacity being developed at each location. the release said here today.
At each of these wind parks, INOX Wind is providing its customers end to end solutions including wind resource assessment, building power evacuation system, arranging land, developing the entire site infrastructure, supplying WTGs, erection & commissioning services as well as long term O&M.
